Monday #5 Food safety 2

In the article "New Food Technologies are Safer than Older Ones", by Thomas R. DeGregori, he argues that food is no more dangerous now than before. He argues that people are filled with false fear by the media and people trying to spread this fear. He also says that many things that people are afraid of being done in growing food, has already been done for a long time. Also, this article says that there is no way to avoid, or to have avoided in the past consuming small amounts of toxins.  Finally, many of the more dangerous foods are some of the older, traditional foods and herbs.
